YEREVAN. – Thursday’s court session on the case of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan vs. acting PM Nikol Pashinyan, at the court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan, has been rescheduled.

The reason for this rescheduling was that the presiding judge had another court hearing.

The next court session on this case was scheduled for September.

In April of last year, Kocharyan's lawyer Hayk Alumyan had filed a civil lawsuit against Pashinyan, demanding protection of the ex-President’s honor and dignity from the acting premier's public defamation against Kocharyan, and compensation for the non-pecuniary damage caused by this defamation.

According to the plaintiff, three respective statements made by Nikol Pashinyan, who was on vacation during that period, are considered defamation against Robert Kocharyan.
