The government didn’t provide normal information to the residents of Armenia’s borderline settlements after Azerbaijan’s armed aggression. The Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, said this at Thursday sitting of the National Assembly, during the latter’s discussion of the report on the work done by the Ombudsman's office in 2020.

Moreover, Tatoyan admitted that he has personally addressed the current government officials and told them to go and work with the people on the spot. “The government failed to perform its duty and then blamed the media. There was also the opposite when the government declared that everything is normal, but people see what is going on in the settlements,” the Ombudsman said.
