Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Anna Naghdalyan today answered questions from several media outlets. The answers are the following:

- How would you interpret the May 5 statement by the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on the issue of prisoners of war and the responses of international partners? In some statements, a call is made for the release of prisoners of war of all sides. Are there Azerbaijani prisoners of war or other detainees in Armenia?

- Armenia has completely fulfilled its obligations assumed under point 8 of the trilateral statement of 9 November 2020 and has returned all Azerbaijani prisoners of war, including two persons who were sentenced for the murder of a juvenile in 2014.

The growing pressure of various countries and international organizations on Azerbaijan shows that consensus of the international community over the speedy repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians with the status of hostage, in accordance with the requirements of international humanitarian law.

- How would you interpret Azerbaijan’s allegations about persons being missing during the first war in Artsakh and failure to provide information about mines areas?

- In light of the international pressure for the release of prisoners of war that is growing on a daily basis, Azerbaijan is trying to set forth false agendas, seeking justification for its failure to fulfill the humanitarian obligations that it has assumed.

Armenia is always willing to cooperate with its international partners to solve humanitarian issues.
