The European Commission has decided not to renew the contract for the supply of vaccines against the COVID-19 company AstraZeneca for the second half of 2021, TASS reported.

The European Commission did not update the order for AstraZeneca vaccines after June 2021.

The European Commission launched a lawsuit in April against the company for failing to fulfill a contract for pre-ordering a vaccine. In the first quarter, instead of the 120 million doses stipulated under the contract for the pre-order of the vaccine, the company supplied only about 40 million.
