Russia will not be able to deliver the Sputnik V vaccine to Germany until August due to delays in production and an agreement with India, negotiations on supplies have reached an impasse, the Bild tabloid reports, citing a working group under the German economy ministry.

According to the newspaper's source, the talks are dead because after the summer Germany is scheduled to receive enough COVID-19 vaccines from other manufacturers.

The certification of the Russian drug by the European drug agency EMA has also not yet taken place, the EU requirements turned out to be higher than expected in Moscow, the tabloid writes.

Earlier, a number of federal states of Germany announced that they intend to unilaterally purchase the Sputnik V vaccine; in Bavaria, the authorities signed an agreement of intent.
