The Union of Relatives of Missing Servicemen of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) has addressed a message to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with the request to help return Armenian prisoners of war being kept in Azerbaijan.

The letter particularly reads as follows:

“Accept our deep and sincere gratitude to you for your mediation efforts, which helped stop the war in Nagorno-Karabakh and for the fact that the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation ensures the security of our people.

We believed, hoped and were certain that point 8 of the agreement of November 9, 2020 on cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh will definitely be implemented under your leadership, but, unfortunately, to date, our relatives are in captivity, and we don’t know about their condition.

The lives of our relatives are in your hands. We really ask you and hope you will take matters into your hands and ensure our relatives’ protection and their speedy return to their homes.”

The letter is signed by President of the Union of Relatives of Missing Servicemen Vera Grigoryan and a group of members of the Union.
