YEREVAN. – The heads of the two departments at the Office of the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia—Artyom Sedrakyan, Head of Department General for Human Rights Protection in the Criminal Justice and Armed Forces, and Armen Mashinyan, Head of Department General for Protection of Civil, Socio-Economic and Cultural Rights—on Tuesday received a delegation led by Eoghan Murphy, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission, the ombudsman’s office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The staff of the Human Rights Defender's Office stressed the importance of the OSCE/ODIHR’s impartial observation of elections.

During the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to cooperate to guarantee people's rights in elections.
