Switzerland will allow major concerts or sporting events with 10,000 participants, provided that visitors can present so-called COVID certificates confirming that they are vaccinated, have had COVID-19, or have tested negative.

In the premises without masks, the number of places in restaurants will be unlimited, and discos and dance clubs may reopen.

For events that do not require a COVID certificate, attendance will be limited to 1000 people.

Starting Saturday, Switzerland will also ease travel rules from European countries, the United States, Albania and Serbia, in a bid to help the tourism sector hit by the pandemic.

Border health interventions will focus only on countries where options of concern are disseminated.
