Italian President Sergio Mattarella on Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to President Armen Sarkissian of Armenia on his birthday. Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned about this from the press office of the President of Armenia.

In his congratulatory message, the President of Italy stated in particular that he would like to reaffirm his intention to further develop and deepen the ties of sincere friendship uniting the two countries.

Also, Mattarella expressed confidence that Sarkissian's upcoming state visit to Italy will be an important occasion to think about the results achieved together and the opportunities for further development of bilateral relations.
