The indictment was read during the trial over the case of 14 Armenian prisoners of war, including Gegham Serobyan, Hrach Avagyan, Armen Baghasyan, Gor Gasparyan, Kamo Sefilyan, Volodya Hakobyan, Gevorg Hasertyan, Sisak Yengoyan, Albert Petrosyan, Romik Sedrakyan, Mkrtich Minosyan, Edgar Matesyan and Yuri Karapetyan.

According to the prosecution, the accused-on-trial illegally obtained weapons, ammunition, explosive substances and devices and created armed formations not provided for by the legislation. On November 26-27, the accused-on-trial trespassed the state border and settled in the forested area located in Hadrut village of Khojavendi region, APA reported.

The Armenian POWs are charged with terrorism; acquisition and keeping of weapon and explosive substances; creation of illegal armed groups and trespassing of state border.

Judge Afgan Hajiyev declared that if the charge is confirmed during the trial, the accused-on-trial may be sentenced to 14-20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
