Lithuania, as a friendly country and a partner of the Eastern Partnership, can play an important role in promoting cooperation between Armenia and the European Union (EU). The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated about this during Monday’s joint news briefing in Vilnius—and with his Lithuanian colleague, Ingrida Simonyte.

According to him, Armenia has established dynamic relations with the EU, and Lithuania is one of Yerevan's important partners in the EU.

"Democratic values and traditional friendly relations between our peoples have created a solid basis for bilateral cooperation. There is potential for expanding untapped cooperation between countries in the tourism, green technology, information technology, agriculture, and food processing sectors.

I thank Lithuania for providing 50,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine to Armenia," Pashinyan added.
