Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, within the framework of the CIS foreign ministers' meeting in the Belarusian capital Minsk, TASS reports.

They noted the need to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.

Later, Lavrov met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"Recently we spoke with you in detail in Moscow, but today we can consider additional issues of a bilateral nature, and, of course, the region. Karabakh must always be in the center of our attention," Lavrov said at the beginning of this talk.

A trilateral meeting between the FMs of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan is also expected in Minsk.
