Russia, as well as President Vladimir Putin personally played a crucial role in stopping the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during today’s online session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries.

Pashinyan added that the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh was achieved in November 2020 through the mediation efforts of the Russian Federation.

“In accordance with the trilateral statement signed through the mediation efforts of Moscow, Russian peacekeepers were deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh, and they ensure security in Nagorno-Karabakh,” Pashinyan stated.
