Russia is the only country that, in practice, stood by the side of Armenia and the Armenian people during the most difficult period for the country, that is, during the events in 2020. This is what Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said in his speech at the session dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Armenia and entitled “Armenia and Russia: Imperative of a New Strategy”.

“In practice, Russia is the only country that stood by Armenia’s side last year. It is now that our partners of various countries around the world are trying to find something or gain something in the changing region. Back then, all those countries were modestly silent,” the Ambassador said.
