YEREVAN. – At 2:06am on Sunday, the Syunik provincial crisis management center received information that a road accident had taken place on the Meghri-Kapan motorway, and one person was affected, reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

It turned out that the tanker truck had gone off road on the Meghri-Kajaran section of the M-2 motorway, rolled about 100 meters into a gorge, and its driver—Iranian citizen J. S., born in 1984—had gotten stock in the cabin of this vehicle.

The rescuers who arrived at the scene took the driver out of the cabin and carried him to a waiting ambulance.

The injured driver was taken to the Meghri city hospital where doctors said he is in satisfactory condition.
