CSTO military exercises have started in southern Tajikistan, RIA Novosti reported citing Faridun Mahmadalizoda, the head of the press center of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan.

He noted that these military exercises will be held from Monday to Saturday at two military schools of the Tajik armed forces.

These exercises will be held near the Afghan-Tajik border—and by the servicemen from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

As part of these exercises, the CSTO collective forces’ team will develop tasks related to attempts by the militants of international terrorist organizations to infiltrate Tajikistan.
