The law on foreign agents does not say that one should turn a blind eye to the transfer of 200 rubles by an organization recognized as a foreign agent. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters about this, referring to the inclusion of the Golos Movement in the Russian register due to the transfer of 200 rubles (approx. US$2.84) from Armenia.

"The law does not say that if we are talking about a small 200 rubles, it can be ignored," he said.

According to Peskov, formally the department should follow the letter and spirit of the law.

It is noted that the Golos Movement was funded by an Armenian citizen. According to the movement's website, Golos trains election observers, assists the Russian federal hotline and online services, provides legal assistance to voters, participates in the improvement of the electoral system, and conducts election observation.
