The Republic of Armenia Ministry of Defense (RA MOD) continues to reprimand Human Rights Defender (ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan for disseminating inaccurate information.

In a respective statement released Friday, the ministry claims that "the ombudsman's October 18 note contains untrue data that are linked to the implementation of engineering work by the Azerbaijani armed forces in some parts of Gegharkunik [Province]."

"Let us add that during the telephone conversation that was held today', the ombudsman, in response to the defense minister’s question as to in which RA territory the [aforesaid] work is carried out, noted that it is not carried out in the RA territory, but in its vicinity. The MOD calls on the ombudsman's office to refrain from disseminating unverified information," the Ministry of Defense said in its statement.
