President of Latvia Egils Levits has recovered from COVID-19, his spokesperson Aiva Rozenberga told reporters on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, the chancellor of the Latvian president had declared that Egils Levits was infected with the coronavirus after testing positive for COVID-19 upon his return from Sweden.

“After getting infected, he got tested again, and it turned out the result was negative,” Rozenberga said, adding that the President is doing fine and continues to work remotely.
