The borders of Armenia remain unchanged, and the Republic of Armenia is within the boundaries described in the Law on Administrative and Territorial Division adopted in 2010. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during today’s question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament, responding to a question from deputy of the opposition “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly Artur Ghazinyan.

The deputy particularly inquired about the current state border of Armenia.

“The Republic of Armenia is within the boundaries described in the Law on Administrative and Territorial Division adopted in 2010. The law specifically states where Armenia’s borders end and where Azerbaijan’s borders begin. Today we proceed from this, but this doesn’t mean that the borders referred to in the law are 100% precise. Armenia says the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan have violated our border in the Sotk-Khoznavar region, and we have a certain status-quo in the remaining sectors,” Pashinyan clarified, adding that the Armed Forces of Armenia are guided by the particular law.
