Everyone holding a high and the highest position in Armenia, we discuss these issues with our Russian counterpart, and in our perception, the approach is such that the Russian peacekeeping forces will stay [in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] longer. Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, noted this at a briefing with reporters—and after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia.

According to him, the aforementioned conclusion is based also on the infrastructure being built for these peacekeeping forces in Artsakh.

And asked whether Armenia will be able to defend Artsakh without Russia, the Security Council chief responded: "We are currently discussing to resolve the issue of joint security."
