As a member state of the Eurasian Economic Union and a member of the market in the Union, Armenia may play a major role in the development of cooperation between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union. This is what Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri declared in his speech at the opening of the first Eurasia-21 international trade and industry exhibition in Yerevan.

According to him, from this perspective, Armenia has great potential. “Taking into consideration its potential and capacities, Iran is taking actions and making legislative amendments for liberalization of exports. Member states of the Eurasian Economic Union may also gain from the increase of the level of cooperation,” the Ambassador said.

The Eurasian Economic Union consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
