Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan today held a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

As reported the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Armenian and Russian foreign ministers discussed issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and attached importance to a lasting and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through peaceful negotiations, under the mandate of the Co-Chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group.

During the phone talks, Minister Mirzoyan presented the situation created in consequence of the latest aggression that the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan launched against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia and attached importance to the role of the allied relations between Armenia and France in the context of the efforts aimed at establishing stability in the region.

Mirzoyan and Lavrov also discussed the course of fulfillment of the commitments that the parties assumed under the trilateral statements signed on November 9, 2020 and on January 11, 2021.
