Head of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Health of Armenia Anna Mkrtumyan assures that the decision of the Constitutional Court is the victory of the Ministry of Health and that, based on the decision, the decision on getting a COVID-19 PCR test is deemed to be constitutional. Citizens will continue to show their employers either a document certifying a negative result of a PCR test or a coronavirus vaccination certificate, the Ministry of Health reports.

“Upon the decision of the Constitutional Court, establishing the scope of entities (employees) with the duty to pay for a COVID-19 PCR test is beyond the scope of the powers reserved for the Minister of Health by law,” the statement by the Ministry of Health reads.
