Pegasus Airlines of Turkey has applied to the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia for issuing a license to operate Istanbul-Yerevan-Istanbul flights. Sona Harutyunyan, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, told TASS on Tuesday.

"Pegasus has applied for conducting two weekly flights starting from February," Harutyunyan said, adding that the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia has begun reviewing these applications and will make a respective decision within a reasonable time.

Earlier, FLYONE Armenia, an Armenian airline, was issued a license from the Armenian aviation authorities to operate Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan charter flights, and is now awaiting a similar decision from the Turkish side.
