North Korea has announced another missile launch. The tests were reported by the Central Telegraph Agency (CTAC) with reference to the Academy of Defense Sciences of North Korea.

Earlier, on January 17, the Yonhap agency wrote about the launch of an unidentified projectile towards the Sea of ​​Japan, it was noted that this was the fourth “show of force” from Pyongyang since the beginning of 2022.

According to the North Korean military, two tactical guided missiles hit a target in the Sea of ​​Japan. Verification firing was carried out to selectively test this type of weapon and its accuracy.

On January 14, North Korea launched an unidentified projectile towards the Sea of ​​Japan. On January 11, the country also successfully tested a hypersonic missile, marking the second launch of the DPRK this year. The tests took place in the presence of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The missile flew 1000 kilometers and accurately hit the target.

The United States proposed to respond with UN sanctions to a series of missile launches.

In response, North Korean authorities warned Washington of a tougher response. The North Korean Foreign Ministry called the recent missile launches the exercise of the right to self-defense.
