We are very sensitive to the Caucasus region, especially to the South Caucasus, which is one of the most sensitive parts of our border, Ali Akbar Velayati, an adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on international affairs, said.

The statement came during an interview with the daily Kayhan, referring to developments in the South Caucasus.

He said that the borders of neighboring countries in the Caucasus have a security effect for them and they do not accept any changes in the borders.

He continued by saying that experience has shown that when countries’ borders change, a crisis appears, the end of which is unknown.
