The Center for Preventive Action of the Council on Foreign Relations has published the Preventive Priorities Survey 2022, which addresses global conflicts, assessing the likelihood of their outbreak this year and their importance and impact in the context of US interests. The purpose of the report is to assist the US administration in developing its foreign policy, according to the VOA Armenian Service.

The current conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is included in this report, according to which the conflict in and around Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) may resume, accompanied by tensions between Turkey and Russia. According to the report, the likelihood of the escalation of this tension is moderate, which, however, has a low impact on US interests and is not of great strategic importance to the United States.
