The Office of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President does not take seriously the statement of the Azerbaijani company Azerigaz about the intention to rebuild the natural gas infrastructure in Stepanakert, so they do not comment on it.

"We consider the given statement unserious and do not comment [on it]," the Artsakh President's Office told Armenpress.

The official representative of Azerigaz company, Teymur Jafarov, had stated that they allegedly plan to rebuild the natural gas infrastructure in the Artsakh capital Stepanakert.

He had added that "certain works have already been done" on the natural gas pipeline leading to Stepanakert.

On March 27, however, the Artsakh Information Center had issued a statement noting that natural gas enters Artsakh only through one natural gas pipeline, which comes from Armenia.

“Receipt and distribution of natural gas from the mentioned gas pipeline to its subscribers is carried out by Artsakhgaz CJSC. Therefore, the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR or its subsidiary company Azerigaz (…) cannot have anything to do with the [natural] gas supply process of the Artsakh Republic," Artsakhgaz company had added, in particular, in its respective statement.
