A truth has come to us from ancient times: "If you want peace, prepare for war." The whole world thinks in these categories, but it turned out that the prime minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, is a new “thinker” and proposes a new formula: "[If] you want peace, lose the war." Armen Ashotyan, vice-chairman of the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), told this to a press conference Tuesday.

He expressed a view that losing a war cannot ensure peace.

"Peace can be achieved only in the case when you, as a state, can at least defend yourself. Otherwise, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and everyone else will take advantage of the situation," Ashotyan said.
