Key Finnish politicians have been warned that Russia could cut off gas supplies to Finland on Friday, local newspaper Iltalehti reported, citing unnamed sources.

Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and Prime Minister Sanna Marin said Thursday that Finland is "without delay" in NATO.

On 5 May, the Finnish government said it was prepared for its eastern neighbor to cut off gas supplies in response to Finland's refusal to meet Russian demands to pay for gas in rubles.
