Azerbaijani authorities are rapidly building mosques in occupied Armenian settlements of Hadrut and Shushi.

Gunduz Ismailov, deputy chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, said at a press conference that 67 mosques have been found, most of them demolished, APA reported. According to the official, construction of new mosques continues in Hadrut, Shushi, and Mataghis.

However, if mosques were destroyed during the first Artsakh war, Azerbaijanis are destroying the Armenian heritage on purpose. They have already demolished and damaged many Armenian churches and monuments following their occupation of Armenian territories as a result of the 2020 war.
