The topic of security guarantees for Kiev was discussed during talks, but Kiev itself has suspended the process, and it is not known of any new attempts, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reported.

Commenting on statements by Vladimir Zelenskyy's office head Andriy Yermak about the possibility of creating an international advisory group to develop security guarantees for Kiev, Rudenko said it was "the first time he had heard about it."

"Such a conversation was in the context of our negotiation process. But after Ukraine suspended its participation, I haven't heard of any other attempts," Rudenko added.

According to him, Russia doubts the sincerity of Kiev's desire to find a peaceful solution to the situation and the conditions put forward by Kiev for resuming negotiations with Moscow are not constructive.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the continuation of negotiations with Russia is possible only on the condition of the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.

"In this regard, we can hardly assess this statement as constitutional. I would like to recall that Ukraine has actively participated in the negotiations, in fact, since the first day of the military operation and has not set any conditions. And if now they put these conditions, it makes us doubt the sincerity of their desire to find a peaceful solution," Rudenko told reporters.
