On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Peter Maurer, chairman of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the press service of the President reported.

President Khachaturyan highlighted the importance of continued active cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross to solve a number of humanitarian problems. He underscored the importance of ensuring the return of Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and civilians held in Azerbaijan after the 44-day war unleashed against Artsakh.

The President highlighted the necessity of active participation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in this regard. Issues related to ensuring the continuity of the search for the missing persons in the Artsakh war were also discussed during the meeting.

The President of the International Committee of the Red Cross assured that the issues raised by the President of Armenia are a priority for him and are under the close attention of his structure.
