Iran is close to possessing a significant amount of material for creating an atomic bomb, said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, RIA Novosti reports.

But having a significant amount does not mean having a bomb, it is very important, Grossi told reporters at a press conference in Vienna, pointing out the importance of IAEA maximum access to Iran's nuclear facilities.

The development of new centrifuges in Iran is ongoing, he said, meaning they will have the technology to produce larger volumes of material at a faster pace.
