Turkish company Arcelik will buy the Russian assets of Whirlpool EMEA S.p.A. — Indesit International JSC and Whirlpool Rus LLC. The deal is valued at €220 million. It is planned to make payments within ten years, Kommersant reports.

Arcelik A.S. is an international company, a manufacturer of large household appliances, headquartered in Istanbul. Controlled by Turkey's largest financial and industrial conglomerate Koc Group. Arcelik owns ten brands (the main ones are Blomberg and Beko), as well as factories in Turkey, Romania, Russia and China.

A notice of the deal has been posted on a Turkish public disclosure website. As a result of the transaction, Arcelik will receive production facilities in Lipetsk capable of producing 2.8 million refrigerators and washing machines per year. About 2.5 thousand people are involved in production in Russia. The mentioned Russian companies also operate in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Mongolia.

According to SPARK-Interfax, the revenue of Whirlpool Rus according to RAS in 2021 amounted to 40.8 billion, net profit - 1.9 billion rubles. Indesit International earned 29.1 billion, its profit reached 220 million rubles.
