Turkey will send a delegation to the United States to resolve the issue related to the supply of F-16 fighters to Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reported, TASS noted.

The sincere efforts of the distinguished US President Joe Biden in this matter will receive serious support, he said.

Biden said earlier that the US should sell F-16 fighter jets to Turkey and modernize them. Biden also recalled that such transactions require the approval of the US Congress.

The President of Turkey, before going to the NATO summit, accused the United States of delaying the process of delivering F-16 fighters to the republic.
