Google's Gboard Keyboard for Android offers people who use foldable phones (or at least beta users of the app for now) a split keyboard mode.

Its goal is to make typing on the large screens of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Microsoft Surface Duo 2 less uncomfortable and more ergonomic.

The split keyboard mode kind of "cuts" the keyboard in half, placing all the keys near the two sides of the foldable phone, much closer to where your thumbs might naturally rest when you're holding the device.

And while Samsung's keyboard app already offers this feature for Z Fold phones, some Android users prefer to use Gboard for typing and auto-correction.
