BANK EXPLOSION

An explosion took place in one of Armenian province banks, leaving one person dead and six people injured.

The explosion and an ensuing fire occurred in the Ashtarak branch of Unibank, under yet unknown circumstances.

Ruzanna Khachatryan, an employee of the company providing cleaning services at the branch, had died at the scene.

Other employees of this branch were taken to the hospital.

The fire has already been extinguished.

But documents were burned in the archive room, and the customer service windows, the door and the interior wall of this branch, four cars parked near the branch, as well as the window of the airline ticket office in the adjacent area were damaged.

The investigation continues.
