The world’s agro-industrial sector is in a state of serious uncertainty. Maximo Torero, Chief Economist of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, stated about this while speaking at a UN conference.

If we are to predict the impact of the situation in Ukraine, then in 2022 we will have at least another 40 million people who will face the problem of chronic hunger, Torero added.

According to him, in 2023, more than 70 million people in the world may face the problem of hunger.
