At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the government of Armenia decided to redistribute 13.3 billion drams in the 2022 state budget to implement three large blocks of projects.

Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan stated that one of these projects is with respect to Kaps Reservoir.

"There will be a need to provide an advance payment to the builder, and there is a need to allocate 3.5 billion drams additional money. The other block refers to the two projects being implemented in Yerevan: the Argavand-Shirak street and the Babajanyan-Ashtarak directions. There is a need for 4.1 billion drams. And thirdly, average repair works are constantly at the study phase. Now we have ten such sections with a length of 35 kilometers. With this decision, we need to allocate an amount of 5.7 billion drams," said the minister.

PM Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, listed the motorways in Armenia that will be repaired. He added that the Stepanavan and Dilijan tunnels need to be brought to a proper condition meeting with international standards.
