Armenian-Iranian relations are on a high level, and we have already achieved considerable results in various spheres as a result of our cooperation, Minister of Environment of Armenia Hakob Simidyan said.

His remarks came in Iran at the meeting with the Iranian Vice President and Head of the Environmental Protection Organization Ali Salajegheh.

Touching upon the experience of effective cooperation between Armenia and Iran, Simidyan also touched upon the memorandum signed by the two countries during the 17th session of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, which registered their readiness to develop bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, healthcare, environment, education, culture, tourism, agriculture and high technologies, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Environment informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The sides discussed in more detail the steps of cooperation in accordance with the requirements defined in the memorandum.

Simidyan and Salajegheh also discussed issues related to the effective joint work on the border river Arax in recent months.
