The Iranian side will develop cooperation with Pakistan in the areas of energy, banking ties, as well as barter trade, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Rostam Qasemi said on Wednesday.

On Wednesday and Thursday, a meeting of the joint trade and economic commission of Iran and Pakistan is held in Islamabad.

The meeting of the Joint Economic Commission will begin today, and tomorrow, on the second day, we will witness the signing of various memorandums of understanding between Iran and Pakistan to expand ongoing cooperation, IRNA quoted Qasemi as saying.

He also noted that Tehran is going to develop cooperation with Islamabad in the fields of energy, banking, and barter trade.

Strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of border and transport is also on the agenda of the commission, the Iranian minister added.
