Apple Inc. plans to hold a presentation on September 7, which will introduce the iPhone 14, Bloomberg reports citing sources.

Apple is updating its flagship product at a challenging time for the industry. Smartphone sales began to decline due to high inflation. But Apple seems to be doing better than the competition: The iPhone sold well last quarter, and the company has signaled to suppliers that it doesn't foresee a drop in demand.

The tech giant usually announces other products alongside the iPhone, including the latest Apple Watch. The company usually releases a new iPhone to stores about a week and a half after it's unveiled, and Apple is expected to stick with that model this year. Some retail store employees have been ordered to prepare for a major new product launch on September 16th.

The standard iPhone 14 will be similar to the iPhone 13, although the company will drop the 5.4-inch 'mini' version and add a model with a 6.7-inch screen.

That being said, the company is planning big changes for the iPhone 14 Pro lineup. Apple will replace the notch for the front camera, known as a notch, with a pill-shaped hole for face ID sensors. This will give users a bit more screen real estate. The company is also adding a faster chip to the iPhone 14 Pro.

The most significant changes in the iPhone 14 Pro will be the camera system, which will appear slightly larger. Pro models will get a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, as well as 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle telephoto lenses. Apple also plans to improve video recording and battery life.

In the latest Apple Watch, known as the Series 8, Apple will add women's health features and a body temperature sensor. The standard watch will be similar to the Series 7, but the new professional model is aimed at more sporty consumers. It will have a larger display, a durable titanium case, new activity tracking features, and improved battery life. The company also plans to launch the new Apple Watch SE, a low-cost smartwatch with a faster chip.

Also coming in September are iOS 16, the software that will run on the next iPhones, and watchOS 9, the next Apple Watch operating system. The company plans to launch macOS Ventura in October alongside iPadOS, the iPad's operating system.

According to Bloomberg News, Apple is working on an updated budget iPad with A14 chip and USB-C port, as well as new iPad Pro models with M2 chips, which will be released later this year. The company also plans to release new Macs before the end of the year as it works with M2-based versions of the Mac mini and MacBook Pro.
