According to the forecast, radioactive substances in the event of an accident at the Zaporizhzhya NPP will cover Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Russian Armed Forces, released such data at a briefing on Thursday.

He presented a map with predicted distribution of radioactive substances in case of release from the territory of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. According to the forecast, radionuclides will cover territories in Poland, Slovakia and Germany.

Radionuclides are also predicted to reach Moldova and Romania.
