About 262 thousand arrived in Armenia in August of this year, compared to the 288 thousand of last year. Minister of economy Vahan Kerobyan told this to reporters in the National Assembly Wednesday.

"It should be taken into account that more than 60 percent of overall tourists come through Zvartnots airport [of Yerevan], and for example, in 2019 it was a little more than 40 percent. Obviously, Zvartnots served more tourists in August 2022 than in 2019," he said.

And asked whether these indicators refer to those who came to Armenia just for vacation or also to those who have arrived from Russia for a long stay, the minister answered: "There is a clear methodology whereby the people who came to live from the people who came to travel are separated."
