U.S. President Joe Biden wants to make sure that the United States has other options available to ensure that Iran does not get nuclear weapons if efforts to reopen the 2015 nuclear deal, stated the national security spokesman John Kirby.

He said Washington will continue to push hard to reimplement the agreement, but its patience does not last forever.

According to him, while the president has encouraged and promoted the diplomatic route, he has told his administration that he wants to make sure U.S. has other options available to potentially achieve a lasting outcome, that Iran will not have a nuclear weapons capability.
