Armenia's economic activity index has increased by 13.9 percent in January-August 2022 compared to the same period last year, which was 13.1 percent, according to the data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia.

Also, the amount of industrial output in the country increased by 9.2 percent in January-August of this year compared to the same period last year.

The amount of construction in the first eight months of 2022 increased by 14.2 percent compared to the same time last year.

The increase in trade in January-August 2022 compared to the same period of 2021 was 13.6 percent, and the amount of services provided in the first eight months of this year increased by 27.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In January-August 2022, the consumer price index of Armenia increased by 8.4 percent compared to January-August 2021, and the industrial product price index increased by 5.1 percent.

The amount of electricity production increased by 16.6 percent in January-August compared to the same time last year.

A 56.2-percent increase was recorded in the amount of Armenia’s foreign trade in the first eight months of this year compared to the same time last year. Moreover, in January-August 2022, compared to the same time last year, exports increased by 52.9 percent, and imports—by 58.2 percent.

And the average exchange rate of the Armenian dram against 1 US dollar was 453.27 drams in January-August of this year.
