Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan and Minister of State Artak Beglaryan met with a Belgian delegation led by Mark Demesmaeker, a member of the Belgian Senate and head of the Belgium-Armenia friendship group of the Belgian parliament.

During the meeting, the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh presented details about the Azerbaijani war crimes committed during the 44-day war in the fall of 2020and after it, the widespread violations of human rights as a result of the use of force and the threat of force by Azerbaijan, and the latter’s actions aimed at disrupting normal life in Artsakh, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Artsakh ombudsman.

Artsakh Minister of State Artak Beglaryan, in turn, spoke about the Armenian ethnic cleansing policy being implemented by Azerbaijan in Artsakh, as well as the security and humanitarian situation created as a result of it, and stressed the need for the international community actions condemning Azerbaijan's aggressive behavior.

Members of the Armenia-Belgium parliamentary friendship group of the National Assembly of Armenia also participated in the meeting.
