Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's speech from the UN rostrum is yet another proof that the peace agenda repeatedly voiced by the incumbent government has completely failed, press secretary of the Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov told journalists today.

Pashinyan, according to the oppositionist, once again deceived the Armenian people after the June 2021 elections. After all, he promised peace, which never came.

"Secondly, Nikol Pashinyan finally gave up Karabakh. From the rostrum of the UN, he actually said that his task is to keep 29.8 thousand square kilometers. This figure, you understand, does not include Karabakh. We have left two Armenian states with a total area of 42 thousand square kilometers to Nikol Pashinyan and his team. Now Nicol is dreaming of 29.8. He has "washed his hands" of the Karabakh issue," Sharmazanov said.

Moreover, the politician says that the figure indicated by the head of the government doesn't include the enclaves mentioned by Azerbaijan as well. That is, in fact, Nikol Pashinyan is going to yield to Baku in the issue of the enclaves as well.

The territory of 29.8 square kilometers announced by Pashinyan is the area of the Armenian SSR.
